Beautiful, strategic designs that help private practices grow

If you’re a therapist looking to create (or refresh) your website, chances are you’ve come across Squarespace. And for good reason — it’s intuitive, professional, and flexible enough to grow with your practice. But what makes a great Squarespace therapist website? And how do you make yours stand out?

In this post, I’m rounding up some of the best Squarespace therapist websites I’ve seen — including real examples I’ve designed through Easy Originals. Whether you’re DIY-ing your site or looking for inspiration before hiring a designer, these examples will give you a feel for what’s possible.

What Makes a Great Squarespace Therapist Website?

Before we dive into examples, here’s what I look for in a strong therapist website:

  • Warm, approachable design that reflects the therapist’s personality

  • Clear structure with easy navigation and intuitive flow

  • Strategic copy that speaks to the client’s needs and pain points

  • Strong brand identity including color, typography, messaging, and imagery

  • Mobile-friendly design that works beautifully across all device sizes

  • Built-in tools for booking, contact forms, FAQs, and more

Therapist Squarespace Websites to Inspire You

Here are a few of my favorites, designed with ease, clarity, and care in mind:

Lisa Hamilton Psychotherapy – Marin County, California

Lisa’s website combines structure and softness in a way that feels polished but deeply personal. Designed to speak to a high-achieving audience while still feeling grounded, the layout is minimal, the color palette is muted and calming, and the typography brings a modern yet approachable edge.

We focused on strong page hierarchy and thoughtful pacing to guide visitors seamlessly through the site — including full-page, sticky-scroll sections that create intentional pauses as you move through each part of the homepage. These subtle transitions help convey a sense of calm and reflection, mirroring the pace and depth of her therapeutic approach.

Rose Welsh Counselling – Fraser Valley, Bc

For Rose Welsh Counselling, we wanted the design to feel as bright and forward-looking as her practice. Since her name is Rose, we leaned into the natural, floral feel and built a joyful palette using reds, pinks, soft blues, and a touch of yellow — colours chosen to reflect hope, happiness, and resilience.

The layout is dynamic, with scrolling marquees, typing headers, illustration stickers, and an overall sense of hope. Her focus on helping people move forward from trauma guided the brand tone — future-facing, not heavy — and the design supports that with uplifting visuals and clear, confident structure.

Hold Hope Counselling – Vancouver, BC

Hold Hope Counselling’s website was designed to feel cozy and candlelit — intimate without being dark. Since the logo features a flame, we built the brand around that visual metaphor, using warm tones, deep textures, and subtle glows throughout the site.

The layout is interesting and grounded, with smart summary sections, gentle movement, and clean functionality.

Harbour Counselling & Consulting – Fraser Valley, BC

Harbour’s website needed to serve both in-person and virtual clients across provinces. We created a clean, coastal-inspired brand identity and a thoughtful Squarespace build that layers in intentional visual details — including custom wave-shaped section dividers, a hero animation that gently fades text in and out like waves, and brand illustrations used as decorative elements throughout the site.

These choices give the site its distinct rhythm and grounding presence, helping it feel calm and welcoming while remaining highly functional and easy to navigate.

Why I Recommend Squarespace for Therapists:

As a designer who works primarily with counsellors, psychologists, and coaches, I recommend Squarespace to nearly all of my clients. Here's why:

  • User-friendly even after the handoff — no need to rely on a developer

  • Secure and reliable, with SSL and hosting included

  • Customizable with CSS, saved sections, and brand styling

  • SEO-ready, mobile-responsive, and accessible for a wide range of users

Plus, it’s a great option whether you’re a solo practitioner or part of a larger team.
